Simple communication is all we ask!

Running late?

JUST CALL US so we don't think you are a no show and we can adjust our schedule as needed.

 

Depending on how late you are and the breed/size, your dog will be bumped behind the dogs who were on time but we will try our best to still get them done that day. Although there is no guarantee and we may ask you to reschedule. This will be considered a same day cancellation subject to a $25 fee.

The latest we take in dogs is 12:00pm

JUST CALL US so we can try to fill your time block with another appointment. We require a 24 hour notice in order to do so or it will be considered a Same Day cancellation/ No Show.

Reminder Texts

Reminders are given 2 days before and the day before as a courtesy. If for any reason they don't send it is still your responsibility to keep track of your appointments.

Same Day cancellation & No Call/ No Show

We understand things happen at the last minute and we try to be very forgiving, but the recent increase of No Shows is taking a financial toll on all of the staff members at The Wizard of Paws (to the tune of over a thousand dollars every month in 2024 so far). As a small business we simply cannot afford this, which has forced us to implement stricter policies. Please remember this is how we make our living and each appointment is crucial. It is also unfair to the other clients waiting longer for appointments when they could have been in sooner if we knew someone wasn't able to make it.

If you do not call and cancel by the day before your appointment, leaving us with an empty time block that another client would have gladly taken: 

​

- First offense: A small $25 fee to make up for the missed appointment

​

- Second offense: 50% of the service fee due at time of next appointment

​

- Third offense: 100% of the missed appointment due before another appointment will be made.

​

Any further no shows or refusal to pay missed appointment fees, the client will simply be removed from our client list.

DROP OFF/PICK UP

We ask that your dog be dropped off at their set appointment time. You can drop off early if you need to, dropping off late is when we run into problems.
 
You will receive a phone call when your dog is ready. 
 
They are welcome to stay until you get off work or finish your errands. We do require that all pups be picked up no later than 5:30pm.

What to expect

You will be asked to fill out a general release form at your first visit. Please allow up to 10 minutes to complete the form and discuss your babies haircut or other services.

This is a free range facility for those who socialize well. Your baby will not be kept in a kennel unless they do not play well, if they jump the front gate, or if they are senior dogs or puppies who prefer to be kept separate.
 
Safety and comfort always come first.

No Refund Policy

While I do not offer money back because a service was still provided, if you are dissatisfied with your pets final look due to a misunderstanding of haircut length or style, we will happily fix it before you leave or schedule a redo date. If you get home and realize you are indeed unhappy, please call me or stop back by within 2 days and the correction will be free of charge.
